My favorite part of working for Gaylor is the diversity in work that I get to see as I go from job to job. I may be doing residential rough in and trim out at one job, and then doing heavy commercial work at a hospital for the next job. I really enjoy getting to learn all aspects of the electrical trade and Gaylor affords me that opportunity. One day I realized that coworkers were coming to me for direction or help and I realized that I have progressed far enough that my co-workers had faith in me to get the job completed. Also, I was able to continue my education and earn my Associates Degree while doing my apprenticeship program. I had the ability to pick and choose classes from the training calendar so I can become more educated in areas that I feel I could use improvement.

My favorite part about working for Gaylor is the Merit Shop philosophy is a way of life. The top performers are treated as such, and the only thing holding back your career is the limitations you put on yourself. As a General Superintendent, I get the unique opportunity to mentor and develop young electricians into high performing industry professionals. On a daily basis I am sharing the knowledge and experience that I have gained over 20 years, playing a major part in the growth of the organization. Every employee at Gaylor, no matter their role, is an essential to the success and the growth of the organization.
